The Swahili Fashion Week is one of the biggest Fashion Weeks in Africa. Being a regional event, it attracts designers,journalists ,models and fashion enthusiasts from all over Africa and beyond.
Every year they reward the top models , designers,fashion journalists,stylists and Fashion Tv shows in the region.
I want to highlight on one category in particular;
BEST EAST AFRICAN MODEL
This is because this year, the competition is very stiff especially because the 5 nominees are from both Kenya (3) and Uganda (2).
This is a very hard task for the voters since all these models are beautiful,fierce on the catwalk and have had very successful modelling careers in their countries.From gracing magazine covers,to being on many runways across the region and also being friendly faces we can all relate to.
Last year’s winner was JO KISILA , a very tall, well toned and alluring STRUT IT AFRIKA model from Kenya.
Who will it be this year?Is it;
ANNA KAGWALA -UGANDA
EMO RUGENE – KENYA
GLORIA BARAZA – KENYA
SHARON MIREMBE – UGANDA
Let the people decide…If you have not voted log onto the Swahili Fashion Week website and vote
Tik..Tok…time is running out.The winner will be announced on Saturday 7th December.
