Most men only have two types of shoes : Official and Casual shoes (sneakers). There is more to shoes than those two words. You need to learn the names of the shoes you wear and try and add a diverse range of styles to your collection. Gone are the days when men were supposed to be boring and very plain in their look. Now, men are trendy and are not scared of standing out. These are the shoes I recommend.

Oxfords first appeared in Scotland and Ireland. They are v-shaped and have laces attached on the slit. They have so much character and convey British charm ,elegance and tradition.

Good Oxfords have a round toe and are comfortable .They should be worn with chinos, khaki ,jeans and suits. When wearing them, make sure that the trousers  reach just at the top of the shoe to avoid hiding the detail of the shoe.

Derby shoes are characterized by their shoe lace eyelet tabs that are sewn on top of the slit.

They are comfortable shoes and more casual compared to the Oxfords. Derbys can be found in different colors ,shapes and sizes and can be put on with casual khakis and chinos.

Boots are shoes that cover the entire foot and the popular ones worn by men  go up to the ankle. They have a heel that stands out from the heel.

Boots have been in the market for a long time and come in a variety of styles and shapes. From the jungle boots ,combat boots to the Chelsea boot(in the picture above) ,which is the made of leather and is popular with men.

They can be worn with both official and casual trousers.
